Another exciting new opportunity is available through the team at Hays Healthcare. We are actively recruiting Doctors in Ophthalmology for a single trust (3 hospitals) in the South West of England.
The Trust is part of the Cornwall Healthcare Community, working in partnership with other local Trusts to deliver high quality healthcare services across the county. The Trust has close links to medical specialist services in the South West Peninsula and beyond. Serving a widespread local population, as well as thousands of visitors to the area each year, poses a number of unique healthcare challenges. The Trust provides acute medical and surgical services to a population of around 450,000.
It is a great area to work in, with regular recreational activities including surfing, walking, diving, gyms, theatres to name but a few.
The Ophthalmic Department has inpatient and outpatient facilities and an adjacent purpose built ophthalmic theatre. There are also operating sessions in the Day Surgery Unit.
Responsibilities will include:
• The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness
• The proper functioning of the department
• 10PA’s per week (8 clinical and 2 for study/teaching)
